Heather JacksonJackson visits the kids of Children’s Institute, Inc. in Watts, California to talk about the sport of triathlon and the importance of good nutrition.
Born in Exeter, N.H., Heather Jackson is a professional triathlete who came to the sport after spending years as an ice hockey player, including four years at Princeton University, before she discovered her love of triathlons in 2007. After stints teaching English in Thailand and world history in California, Heather decided to go pro in 2009, and her triathlete career has skyrocketed ever since. She’s taken top spots at several Ironman 70.3 triathlons, has steadily climbed the ranks in the World Championships and set a new course record at the Wildflower Long Course Triathlon. The hardworking and cheerful Heather is known for both her aggressive racing style and for her positive outlook.
